INTERNAL ORGANISATION

Federal Development Planning Institution is consisted of five organizational units. Below is description of their activities:

1. DIRECTOR’S OFFICE

Provide services to Director and his Deputy and includes following tasks: preparation of materials and proposals related to the activities of the Director and his Deputy; coordination and preparation programs and progress reports of the Institute, realization of programs; preparation of Collegium’s sessions and follow on implementation of adopted conclusions; public information and education activities; organizational preparations of advisory meetings and other meetings initiated by the Development Institution; collection of materials for director and his deputy; provide expert administrative and technical service to Director and his Deputy; other tasks and duties requested by director and deputy director.

2. SECTOR FOR PROGRAMING AND ANALYSIS OF MACROECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

This Sector covers following activities: preparation of development documents in Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, prepares strategies, programs and plans; analysis and programming of structural economic relationship; assessment of certain areas of the economic system and possible consequences; proposal of economic measures and implementation follow up; preparation of legal regulations and other sub-laws  in the area of economic system based on market oriented principles and modern economic systems; programming of use of natural resources and secondary row materials; proposal of incentive measures and measures to recover and improve economic areas that are strategically important for the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (hereinafter: Federation); publication of brochures and development documents previously verified by the Government of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

 

3. SECTOR FOR LOCAL DEVELOPMENT AND EMPLOYMENT:

This Sector covers following activities: research, analysis, projections of economic and social development of local communities: analysis of available natural, economic, human and other resources and assessment of their impact to the economic development of local communities; research, analysis and design of appropriate methodologies for preparation of local development strategies; preparation of studies, programs, and project tasks for preparation of local development strategies; research, analysis and protections of demographic changes, education and employment at local level; support and provide consulting, expert and information services to teams engaged on preparation of local development strategies; research, analysis and implementation of new science, profesional and technological achivments in the area od strategic planing and corporate management in the local communities, research and analysis of the labor market and its impact on education and employment in local communities; research and analysis of education programs and trainings and their compliance with possible employment; corporation with relevant domestic and international development institutions; other tasks in the area of economic and social development of local communities.

4. SECTOR FOR DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF TEHNICAL REQUIREMENTS AND REMOVAL OF BARIERS TO OPEN MARKET ECONOMY

This Sector is covering following activities: compliance with EU technical requirements, instructions and regulations related to product technical requirements, corporation with Institute for Standards and authorized state and entity ministries (at the Federation level this Sector is participating in the working group meetings tasked to prepare appropriate laws which will remove barriers for trade activities within Bosnia and Herzegovina and European Union); implementation of technical requirements for products imposed by WTO and other countries, establishment of appropriate corporation with authorized Entity and State institutions, coordination activities such as: trainings, awareness promotion campaigns related to important laws, etc.; accreditation system support trough implementation of joint trainings of Government’s employees aimed to explain importance and principles of accreditation process (as well as clarification what accreditation process  means from economic perspective e.g. direct support to export etc.) (these accreditation activities will be a consisting part of certification process – products, services and tests /laboratories are consisting part of overall system and accreditation process); support and assistance to the introduction of quality system in the companies and public administrations as well as follow up systems on quality improvements.
