Bihać, 21 December, 2022 – Bosnian and Herzegovinian Framework for Sustainable Development Goals is presented today by the members of BiH SDG Council.
Host of the meeting was the City of Bihać. Invited were all Local Communities of Una-Sana Canton, but present were representatives of cities of Bihać, Bosanska Krupa and Cazin, and municipalities of Bosanski Petrovac, Bužim and Velika Kladuša.
Council of Ministers and governments of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Republic of Srpska and Brčko District agreed on the methodology for the implementation of the Goals, through strategic planning process improvement by the application of Sustainable Development Goals into all strategic development documents at all governmental levels in the state. Therefore, the Framework for Sustainable Development Goals in BiH was adopted in April 2021, by the governments in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Like the previous meetings in Bijeljina, Banovići, Sarajevo and Tuzla, representatives of BiH SDG Council presented the Agenda 2030 implementation process in Bosnia and Herzegovina, while the representatives of cities and municipalities informed about the activities in their communities. Followed the discussion on topics important for better life quality in the country, thus to stop overwhelming migration of population to other countries.
Program SDG2BiH supported the meeting, it is implemented by UNDP, and financed by the Embassy of Sweden. The Program is supporting the work of BiH SDG Council.
