Sarajevo, June 13-14, 2019- Working Group for the Implementation of Sustainable Development Goals in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the support of the UN Project "Support to the Preparation for the Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals and Private Sector Engagement " funded by the Government of Sweden, organized a two-day workshop related to the creation of the Framework for Sustainable Development Goals in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In 2015, all 193 United Nations countries committed themselves to addressing the world's greatest challenges formulated in 17 Sustainable Development Goals. The BiH authorities agreed to create, with the support of the UN in BiH, the Framework for Sustainable Development Goals. This document is envisaged to be adopted at all levels of government in BiH. The Framework will direct the forthcoming strategic planning processes at the levels of BiH, the Federation of BiH, the RS and the Brčko District.

The Federal Institute for Development Programming participates actively in the Working Group for Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in BiH as it is nominated as the coordinator of all necessary activities on behalf of the Government of the Federation of BiH. The working group consists of representatives from the level of BiH, FBiH, RS and Brcko District. It’s task is to launch the necessary activities contributing to the realization of Agenda 2030 in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
