Sarajevo, September 29, 2022 - A meeting with representatives of the Federal Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry and the Chamber of Commerce of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is held in the premises of the Development Programming Institute of FBiH. We discussed the modalities of cooperation between these three institutions.

Present were Almin Malešević and Jasmina Zejnilagić, on behalf of Chamber of Commerce, and Senad Zekić and Angelina Zelenika, on behalf of the Ministry.

Representatives of FMERI and PK FBiH informed Nijaz Avdukić, acting Director of the Institute, with the decission of the Government of the FBiH to start the process of drafting a strategic document to improve development of the textile, leather and footwear industry. Mr Avdukić explained the legal framework that regulates the process of strategic documents drafting in the Federation of BiH, expressing commitment of the Institute to provide professional support in the process.

The FBiH sector strategies,  which is also the strategy for improving the development of textile, leather and footwear industry, shall define development objectives and priorities of the sectors, procedure for their implementation, financial and institutional framework for the implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting.

The FBiH sector strategies shall be drafted on the basis of the FBiH Development Strategy, Development Strategy of BiH, documents relevant for the process of integration of BiH to the EU and other international commitments of BiH.
