Sarajevo, June 15, 2022 – Representatives of Development Programming Institute of Federation of BiH and Directorate for Economic Planning, on behalf of Council for Implementation of Sustainable Development Goals, held a meeting with representatives of City of Sarajevo.
The meeting is a beginning of the formal cooperation between City of Sarajevo and Council for Implementation of Sustainable Development Goals, thus enclosing the support to the City in the application of the Law on Development Planning and Management that significantly contributes to the implementation of the Agenda 2030.
Agenda 2030 is an action plan for people, planet and development, streaming to universal peace and freedom. All countries and other entities support the Agenda, investing common efforts for its preparation and adoption, promotion and implementation, including Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Discussion was focused to the Agenda implementation in local communities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially to the campaign lead by the Council for Implementation of Sustainable Development Goals in BiH. The campaign aims to inform the local communities about the importance of Agenda 2030 and Framework for the Implementation of Sustainable Development Goals in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the obligations and benefits it brings.
The meeting was organized by President of the City Council, Jasmin Ademović, present were also Mirjana Stanić, representative of City of Sarajevo administration, Amra Fetahović from Directorate for Economic Planning BiH and Nijaz Avdukić from Development Programming Institute of Federation of BiH.
