Sarajevo, 01 June, 2023 – The Government of the Federation has supported the BiH Voluntary Report on the Implementation of Agenda 2030 and Sustainable Development Goals, as proposed by the Development Programming Institute. The Government also adopted the Information on Sustainable Development Goals in BiH, prepared by the Institute, along with the commitment to further support their implementation.
Sustainable development is in focus of European Union policies, as well as the member countries. European Union has adopted a framework for the programming period 2021-2027 to support the policies and programs in the EU candidate countries or potential candidates in line with the obligations overtaken within the Agenda 2030.
The European Union document „Key European Activities to Support the Agenda 2030 and Sustainable Development Goals“ quotes IPA as a mean to support the implementation of Agenda 2030 and Sustainable Development Goals.
Our country, whose priority is the access to the EU, has recognized the importance of the implementation of the Agenda 2030 and Sustainable Development Goals as a potential for improvement of socijal, economic and environmental aspects of life in the country, as well as regional cooperation.
