Sarajevo, September 05, 2019 – Team of Federal Institute for Development Programming held an initial meeting with 27 experts engaged for professional support during work on 12 thematic areas in creation of Development Strategy of Federation BiH 2021 -2027. The thematic areas are formed based on the analysis of priorities and development directions defined in the existing strategic documents of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Federation of BiH, cantons, as well as documents relevant to the process of European integration and other international commitments of Bosnia and Herzegovina (including Agenda 2030), those are:
- Competitiveness and Business Climate;
- Industry Development, Creative industry and Smart Specialisation;
- Development of SME, Entrepreneurship and Turnover;
- Macroeconomic Stability and Responsible Public Financials;
- Education, Science, HR Development and Labour Market;
- Agriculture and Food Production, Rural Development and Tourism;
- Health and Quality of Life;
- Demography and Social Policies;
- Corruption, Good Governance and Public Services;
- Transport and Communication Infrastructure;
- Energy and Energy Efficiency;
- Environment, Utility Infrastructure and Natural Resources Management (water, waste, forest, clean air);
Ljubiša Đapan, Director of FZZPR, Deputy Directors, Nijaz Avdukić and Rijad Kovač, and Nedim Čelebić, Expert for Strategic Planning Methodology, who, together with Professor Vjekoslav Domjan, make the Executive Team for the creation of the Development Strategy of Federation BiH, presented what was done so far on the creation of the integral strategic document, the next planned steps, as well as the expectations from the experts.
The experts will work within above listed thematic areas, assisting the Federal Institute for Development Programming in the preparation and implementation of workshops with relevant key actors (representatives of the Federation of BiH institutions, cantons, state, local self-government units, business community, non-governmental sector, ...), drafting the necessary socio-economic analyzes, defining strategic goals, priorities and measures, conducting public consultations, as well as drafting a final version of the strategic document that will be submitted for adoption to the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, respecting the agreed deadlines.
Federal Institute officers have prepared the first draft versions of situation analyzes for each thematic area, that shall be upgraded by experts. The next step is organization of group work related to specific thematic areas in workshops attended by relevant social actors. During the workshops, situation analyzes will be completed for each thematic area.
