A workshop on the informal economy was held on 18 June, in Sarajevo, at hotel Hollywood, organized by the International Labour Organisation, where the findings on the informal economy in Bosnia and Herzegovina were presented. 

In addition to representatives of the Federal Development Planning Institution, the workshop was attended by representatives of employers' associations of two Entities and the Brčko District, representatives of trade unions of both Entities and the Brčko District, representatives of social security institutions of both Entities and the Brčko District, and representatives of governmental and non-governmental sector in both Entities. 

Presentations were held on the business climate and regulatory framework, the extension of social security on the informal economy, and regulation of non-standard forms of employment. 

The aim of this workshop was to find new solutions, through presentations and group discussions that would reduce the volume of business activities of enterprises in the informal economy, increase employment and productivity of disadvantaged workers, and increase social security of workers in the informal economy.
