Sarajevo, November 23, 2018- The Final Conference of the Project for Strengthening the Capacities for Strategic Planning and Policies Development – Phase II (SPPD II). The Project is implemented from May 2016 to November 2018, it contributed the realization of the Strategy for Public Administration Reform in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the area of the strategic planning, as well as development and coordination of policies at national, entities and Brcko District levels, upgrading the achievements and lessons learned during the implementation of SPPD Phase I (2009-2011).
The aim of the conference was to summarize the current state of strategic planning, program budgeting and policy development in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as to present the achievements of the SPPD II Project, with emphasis on the perspectives for further development in the context of public administration reform and country integration processes to the EU.
As one of the most comprehensive public administration reform projects, the SPPD II Project has directly contributed to strengthening the capacity of public service officers, throughout training programs in strategic planning, policy development and program budgeting. More than 300 public servants participated the Project. For more than 60 institutions at all levels of government, that were the key beneficiaries of the Project, direct mentorship was provided to advance the planning process, policy development and program budgeting.
SPPD II Project was implemented by Djikic Consulting Services and Lucid Linx.
Present at the Final Conference were representatives of the Council of Ministers BiH, Federation BiH, Republic of Srpska and Brčko District.
