On 3 and 4 April, Konjic hosted the first workshop within the program of professional training in the area of policy development in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The training program shall be implemented sequentially through modules (similar to the manner conducted in the area of strategic planning), which will be held every two months, as of the beginning of 2017 until November 2018. Providing direct mentoring support to institutions will be organized between the modules.
There have been provided four modules within the program of professional training for the development of public policies: Module I - "Introduction to Public Policy Development", Module II - "Formulation of public policies", Module III - "Impact assessment of options (PUP / RIA) as standard analytical procedure, selecting an optimal option and drafting policy proposals", and Module IV - "Monitoring and evaluation of policies and legislation (SIGMA step 12) in the process of public policy preparation." Senior or managerial civil servants of federal institutions represented the target group of the said training. Also, this program was attended by representatives of cantonal governments and cantonal development planning services that expressed their interest to participate in trainings (KS, TK, ZDK, K10, BPK, SBK).
