Representatives of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Director of the Project Strengthening Government Institutions and Processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Almedina Šuvalija, Deputy Director of the Project, visited the Federal Development Programming Institute on June 28.

The goal of the meeting was an exchange of information and presentation of the work of the Institute, the current status of the project and future activities. The mentioned project will be implemented in the period May 2013 – January 2017. The main purpose of the project is to support the efforts of Bosnia and Herzegovina by ensuring capacity building for government institutions in order for them to adopt and implement development policies, laws and budgets more efficiently and to increase the participation of parliaments and interest of citizens in the budget preparation process, and increase accountability and transparency of government institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Joint activities were proposed during the meeting and future cooperation was agreed upon.
