In accordance with the conclusions of both Houses of Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the Parliament building in Sarajevo today was held the first public hearing on the Draft Law on Development Planning and Development Management in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, organized by the Federal Ministry of Justice, which elaborated the law, the Federal Development Planning Institution, the UNDP Integrated Local Development Project, and the USAID Project Strengthening Governing Institutions and Processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is planned to hold the public hearing in Livno, Mostar, Tuzla and Bihać, too.
At the public hearing, the representative of the Federal Development Planning Institution presented the very process of making regulatory impact assessment and the adoption of public policy that preceded the drafting of the said Law, while the representative of the Federal Ministry of Justice presented the text of legislation. This was followed by discussion and concrete proposals for improving the text of the law will be reviewed at the end of the public hearing process.
