In the hotel „Sarajevo“, on 17 December 2015, the first meeting of the Sector Working Group (SWG) was held for the preparation of the Sector Planning Document for Competitiveness and innovation: local development strategies IPA II (2016 - 2017).
The European Commission, as a donor for technical assistance in preparing the document and the BiH Council of Ministers evaluated this document as a document that will be a strategic platform for the withdrawal of future funds intended for BiH through IPA II. The Framework Agreement IPA II between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Commission came into force on 24 August 2015. The BiH Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Economic Relations is the main coordinator for the drafting of the document Competitiveness and innovation: local development strategies IPA II (2016-2017). The first working group meeting began with:
- Presentation for the IPA II programming and preparation of the SPD (presented by Nevena Marilović DEI - Directorate for European Integration), and
- Presentation of proposals for focusing the SPD for competitiveness and innovation: local development strategies, presented on behalf of Pi Consulting by consultants Emina and Dina Kadrić, who worked as support in the preliminary drafting of the document.
During the meeting a special focus was on the SWOT analysis. The meeting was attended by representatives of the BiH Ministry of Civil Affairs, the BiH Ministry for Human Rights and Refugees, the Federal Ministry of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts, the RS Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining, the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism, the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry, the RS Ministry of Agriculture , Forestry and Water Management, the Federal Development Planning Institution, the RS Republican agency for SME development, the RS Ministry of administration and local government, the Brčko District Government, the Department for economic development, sports and culture, the Government of Brčko District - Department for agriculture, forestry and water management.
The meeting presented the next steps in the process of preparing the SPD.
