UNICEF, as a specialised UN organisation, will help the Federal Development Programming Institute (FDPI), the leader in strategic planning in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the implementation of projects and programmes from the three-year and annual work plan of the Institute.

Such a conclusion was made after the meeting of representatives of UNICEF and FDPI, which was held at the Institute on October 18. The meeting was attended by Ms. Selma Kazić and Armina Čerkić, special UNICEF consultants for social policies, and Ljubiša Đapan, Director, Nijaz Avdukić and Rijad Kovač, Assistant Directors of the Institute.

Among key strategic documents, the development of which is lead by the Federal Development Programming Institute, Đapan mentioned the 2020 Development Strategy of the Federation, macroeconomic policy documents, fiscal sustainability documents of the Federation, economic development analysis, etc.

UNICEF representatives outlined that this organisation was particularly interested in cooperation, provision of financial assistance and other forms of assistance to the Federal Development Programming Institute, especially in relation to projects and programs in the field of social policy, education, health and the overall economic and social development of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
