In the next five years, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) will spend $ 125 million in the socio-economic development of Bosnia and Herzegovina, it was said at the presentation of the document „United Nations Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF) for BiH“, held in the premises of the FBiH Government on 17 December 2014. Ljubiša Đapan, director of the Federal Development Planning Institution, participated in the presentation of this document.

On this occasion, the UNDP Deputy Resident Representative, Zahida Virani, said that the UNDP began to prepare this program 18 months ago, in cooperation with all levels of government in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as with the UN agencies and associations, and the international community. In September this year the document was presented to the UNDP Executive Board in New York, where it was adopted.

„This is the culmination of our planned activities for operations in BiH at the level of the UNDP and other UN organizations in the country“, said Zahira Virani on this occasion and stressed that the activities will be „implemented in four areas: rule of law, justice and security, local economic development and employment, energy efficiency and environmental protection, and the inclusion of vulnerable and marginalized groups“.  This program will take place from 2015 to 2019.

Taking part in the presentation, Sanjin Halimović, Federal Minister of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts, among other things, said that, in the context of this program, Bosnia and Herzegovina is interested in the European path of the country, local community development, investment and employment.
