The duration of the training will be in the period from 28 October 2014 to mid-December 2014.

The goal of this training is to provide the employees of the Federal Development Planning Institution with training in Econometrics (as one of the methods to research the phenomenon of economic development) with the use of econometric software Stata as a tool for research. The program was designed in accordance with the information on the type of analyses to be dealt with by training participants, and their needs for specific types of research skills. The lecturer is Ph.D. Nermin Oruč, a professor at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS), who among others also teaches courses such as econometrics, statistics, research methods.

The training is divided into 6 modules. The introductory module will address the question of designing the research and selection of econometrics as one of the research methods. This more clearly defines and positions Econometrics as research method. The following modules will address the selection of specific econometric techniques and their adequacy in a specific context. The final module will address the analysis of time series.
