Sarajevo, 17th September, 2026 - As the institution responsible for coordination of the preparation process of the Development Strategy of the Federation of BiH until 2034, Development Programming Institute organized the first meeting of the Coordination Board for the Strategy preparation.
The Coordination Board provides institutional support to the Strategy preparation process, ensuring horizontal and vertical coordination across all institutional levels in the Federation of BiH, contributing to the alignment of development directions, and reviewing key results through specific stages of the Strategy's creation.
During the meeting, the methodology and timeline related to drafting the strategic document were discussed, as well as productive communication among Coordination Board members, aiming to ensure the participation of all relevant stakeholders through the submission of relevant data, analyses, comments, proposals, and institutional viewpoints.
The Board will provide support to the Federal Institute in the coordination of the strategy preparation process, reviewing key interim results, and harmonizing proposals for strategic goals, priorities, measures, strategic projects, and indicators.
During the meeting, the participants reaffirmed the institutions' commitment to ensure that the strategic goals and priorities of this Federation Development Strategy are to be aligned with the development goals defined in Bosnia and Herzegovina's strategic documents, as well as documents relevant to the European integration process and further international obligations.
