Sarajevo, 17th September, 2026 - As part of the conference that marked the official start of the preparation of the Development Strategy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina until 2034, the Development Programming Institute of FBiH initiated the signing of memoranda of understanding with universities in the Federation.
Memoranda were signed with the University of Sarajevo, the University of Bihać, the University of Zenica, the University of Tuzla, “Džemal Bijedić” University of Mostar, the International University of Sarajevo, and SSST University.
This initiative opens new opportunities for stronger involvement of scientific, research, professional and academic capacities in development planning, the preparation and analysis of public policies, evaluation, and the assessment of the impact of policies, programmes, projects and public investments in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The aim of this cooperation is to better connect the academic community with institutions dealing with development policies, and strengthen an approach in which public policies are based on knowledge, data and evidence.
The Development Programming Institute is starting important processes of the preparation of the Development Strategy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina until 2034. The signed Memorandums are the basis for concrete joint activities, research, professional discussions, projects, and other activities.
The Development Programming Institute of FBiH extends its gratitude to the universities for their readiness to cooperate and contribute to processes of importance for the long-term development of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
